Miraculous hair product

Hello everyone,

I came up with a hair product, recently, that changed the game for my hair. The GARNIER Fructis Miraculous oil express brushing is a hair oil that works wonders for my hair in so many different ways. It has a very light texture, so it doesn’t weigh my hair down and it is absorbed instantly. Although, it is so lightweight, it hydrates my hair, leaving them very healthy, soft and shiny.  It also works as a great detangler making my very knotty hair easy to brush. In addition, it prevents my hair from frizzing, which is awesome for as long I am still in Corfu cause it’s annoyingly humid in here. Last but certainly not least, this oil is a heat protectant as well, having up to 230¤ thermal protection. It is ideal for all hair types since I love it that I have very fine greasy hair and my sister loves it who has very thick dry hair.

All in all, this product is a real multitasker taking care of your hair without having to lair a hundred of products! The best thing about it though is the price tag, cause you can get this bad boy for about 8€ for 150ml. Bargain!!

Have you tried this product? What do you think about it?

Sephora cream lip stain

DSCN0594 (2)

Hello everyone,

In my previous post I told you that I bought the Sephora cream lip stain in 03 Strawberry kisses and in this post I’m going to talk about how much I love it. The color is just gorgeous, a super bright “is it pink is it red” kind of color. It is a liquid lipstick that sets to a completely matte finish instantly. I have insanely dry lips so I struggle a little bit with matte lipsticks and that’s the reason why I am so excited about it. Despite it’s finish, it’s not drying at all, which is amazing. It sits very nicely on the lips without accentuating the drier patches of the lips. It has a doe-foot applicator that makes it very easy to apply. What I have to notice though is that with this product less is more. It is so pigmented that you don’t need much at all and having less product on the applicator makes it even easier to apply. Because it is so matte, this lipstick last for absolutely ages and it won’t budge or smug through eating, drinking or kissing!! 😉 It is even hard to take off and shows how well it lasts!!

The most amazing thing about it is the price tag. It costs only 11,90€ which is a steal for such a good product and if you have a discount coupon like I did… I mean, come on!! I am definitely going for more colors!

Have you tried it? What was your opinion?

Sephora haul

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I went downtown to pick up my new phone and since I was there I thought it would be fun to have a trip to Sephora. Obviously I couldn’t leave the store without buying a few things. The first item I picked up and the main reason why I went to the store in the first place was a pair of Sephora eyelash curlers, because the ones that I had were pretty much dead. Not very fancy, but definitely a necessity for me and my annoyingly straight eyelashes. In addition, I really wanted a bright lipstick and I have heard everybody raving about the Sephora cream lip stain and since I had a coupon for everything from the Sephora brand I picked one up. The color that I bought was 03 Strawberry Kissed, which is a super bright pink red color. The next item that I picked up was a brow product, which is rather exciting for me cause my eyebrows are pretty much see through. It’s the L’OREAL Brow Artist Plumber in light/ medium, which I always wanted to try and I hope it will give me fuller looking brows. Last but not least, I was looking for a bronzer but instead I came up with with the Maybelline Master Sculpt in 02 Medium/ Dark, which I have never seen in stores before so I had to try it.

I haven’t put anything to the test yet, but reviews are coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Have you made any purchases lately?

Hello everyone,

I really needed a peachy blush because I used up completely the one that I was using before, so a couple of weeks ago I picked up the ERRE DUE blusher in peach soufflé 110. I have never tried anything from the brand or read any review about it, but I just really liked the color so I bought it. This blush is really nice. The color is a beautiful peachy pink with the finest of shimmer that leaves a satin finish on the skin. It’s not very pigmented which is good if you are new with makeup because you can’t go overboard with it. It lasts really nice on the skin, as well. On my skin, that likes to eat makeup, it last some good 5 to 6 hours before it starts to fade.

It costed 12 € which is not very expensive at all especially in Greece. I don’t think you can get this one outside Greece, so if you are coming for vacation you might want to check this out!

Now I feel like I need a more berry tone blush. Do you have any recommendation?

DSCN0503 - Αντίγραφο

Hello everyone,

You know how everyone has this one handbag that works with absolutely any outfit. I found mine in a tourist shop in Corfu. It is a small brown leather shoulder bag. The size of it is perfect because it really limits me and I can’t overpack but it still fits everything that I really need (phone, keys, cash, lipstick and out of the door). It has a beautiful detail as closure of the bag that makes it quite safe as well. To prove you that it goes with everything I have prepared three outfits. Enjoy!

Top: H&M (similar), Shorts: local store (similar), Shoes: Converse, Cardigan: Zara

Your standard navy and white striped top, that my whole family has but for some reason I cannot find it online, paired with some light denim shorts. For shoes I usually wear my white converse and I have to take a jacket with me at this time of the year because in Corfu it is freaking windy. Super casual, classic!

Dress: Pink woman (similar), Jacket: Stradivarious, Sandals: EXE

I love dresses so much that this year they were pretty much all I was wearing. I especially like bodycon dresses because I feel that they make my figure look better, petite but with an idea of curves. I got this striped one from a store called pink woman. I paired it with my beloved EXE sandals and a jean jacket that I got last year from Stradivarius.

Dress: Lynne (similar), Shoes: Migato (similar)

I got this dress last year for a wedding and I absolutely love it. It drapes beautifully and it looks like something that women would wear in ancient Greece. Just to enhance that ancient Greek look I paired it with some gold bangles that I stole from my best friend (Shhh don’t tell her). For shoes I picked my nude suede sandal high-heels, that I made the tragic mistake to wear in a ridiculous crowed club and now they are not so nude any more.

I got this bag for 60€, which is quite pricey, but considering how much I’ve worn it, it worths every penny. I obviously couldn’t find this exact one but I have found a few in a similar style (1, 2, 3, 4)!

Do you have any bag that works as a multitasker!?!

Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Radiance Day Cream

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying the Caudalie Vinexpert Broad Spectrum Radiance Day Cream for a long time now and I only have to say good things about it. It is a very lightweight day cream, yet very moisturizing. I have combination skin with oily t-zone and dehydrated the sides of my face. So although, it is labeled as a moisturizer for dry skin, it is quite nice for all skin types. It  really makes the skin super radiance. It doesn’t have any shimmer or at least I can’t detect it, though it leaves the skin with a glowing pearl kind of finish. When I apply it, it instantly lifts my face and even though it has no coverage at all, my skin looks 10 times better. It also is a very good one for underneath makeup, especially since I am using a matte bb cream. It has spf 15 which is always good, especially in the winter cause I don’t need to use a different product as well, but I haven’t noticed any flash back in photographies.

You can buy this one from pharmacies, Sephora or online and it costs 40€ (or 75$).

Have you tried it? What do you think about it? Is there anything else from the brand that you would recommend me to try?

August favorites 2015

Hello everyone,

August is over so I thought it is time to talk about my monthly favorites. I have a good mix of beauty, fashion and random things that I’ve been loving this past month, so let’s get started.

GARNIER BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Combination to oily skin: This is the only base that I’ve been using this past month and to be honest the whole summer. It is so lightweight that you can’t feel it on your skin, although it provides decent coverage. In the summertime, I want my skin to look as natural as possible, so this one is perfect because it covers a lot of imperfections yet it lets my skin show through. It has a beautiful semi- matte finish that throughout the day looks more like a satin, which means that I don’t have to use a lot of powder. It lasts for quite a while on the skin, although after a few hours it tends to fade in the center of the face.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Outrageous Volume Dramatic Volume Waterproof: I’ve been using this mascara for a while, but I realized how much I loved it by the end of the month when I run out of it and I had to go back to Mabelline The Falsies. The falsies mascara used to be my favorite, but now compared to the Sephora one I find it a little bit crappy. It gives so much volume, it’s ridiculous, and it does a good job at giving length as well. Since it is waterproof it holds the curl really good. All in all, it is freaking amazing!! The only problem is at night when I need to take it off  and I have to massage my eyes for like 10 minutes!

Max Factor Crème Puff Blush in Seductive Pink: I was eyeing this blush for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently that they brought them in Corfu. It  gives the most amazing glow to the skin without it being glittery at all. The color is beautiful too. At the beginning I was a little bit hesitant because when I swatched it looked too cool toned and I didn’t know if it would work with my olive skin, but it just gives a nice flush to the cheeks. The formula is great as well, very pigmented yet so blendable.

Sephora Professionnel Classic All Over Shadow Brush – Small #22: I have this brush for over a year now so my favorite isn’t really this one specifically but the way that I am now using it. In the past I was only using it to apply eyeshadow on the crease and blend. For the lid I liked to apply the eyeshadow with a packing brush, but now I like to do a wash of color with a more fluffy brush. It gives you an eyeshadow look in a second!!

H&M sleeveless chiffon dress: This spring my aunt went in Italy and she got me this dress. Even though I have it for a long time, I only start wearing it this month, because in June I had a lot of  exams, so I didn’t really went out a lot and in July I couldn’t wear it because it was too big.  Now that it got fixed I wear it in every opportunity. In the model it looks kind of short, but I am quite short, so it is midi on me.

EXE sandals: I have dedicated a whole blogpost about these babes. I love them so much that I can’t take them off. I bought a pair of converse recently and I haven’t worn them yet because I am always wearing my sandals. This shows a lot, don’t you think?!

I am one of the biggest Ed Sheeran fans and since he is not releasing any music until next summer I have to compromise with songs that he is featured in.

Growing up- Maclemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ed Sheeran: I am obsessed with this one. It has a similar sound with the song Same love and I am not complaining about it. Especially Ed’s part… Yes yes yes!!!

Dark times- The weeknd ft. Ed Sheeran: I learned about this song from a Lucy Hale’s Instagram photo and she said it was great. She was right!! In that I have to add sexy, so very sexy!! And at the end of the day it is cool to see Ed a little bit dark cause honestly, it looks like he hasn’t got even one cell that is dark…!

The passage by Justin Cronin: My bestfriend had this book and she said that I would like it so I started reading it. I have a love/ hate relationship with this book. I think that the storyline is a little too much (he has taken the science fiction to a new level), but it really grabs you. Although I am not a sci-fi kind of girl, but it is so well written that I couldn’t stop reading it. It is massive (1054 pages, what!), so if you aren’t a big reader, then it will take you a while to finish it. Especially two parts of the book are so boring that I was very close to stop reading it. One at the beginning until the real action starts and the other one when the second part of the book begins. But once you go through those I think you will love it. I did and I am very exited to read the second book in the trilogy!!

So You Think You Can Dance: This is my favorite show of all times and it is the main reason why I am always excited for summer. This year the format has changed and it is  stage vs street, which it is very exciting nonetheless. The talent of the contestants is unreal and combined with the world-class choreographers that work with them it creates something very special. My favorite contestants are Gaby from team stage and JaJa from team street.  Now they are down to the top four and I am thinking of writing a post all about my favorite routines from this season, when it ends. What do you think of this idea??

So those were all of my favorites for this month. What are your August favorites??
