MAKE UP FOR EVER

Hello everyone,

Today I thought I would talk about two products from MAKE UP FOR EVER that I really love. The first one is the aqua shadow in the color 22E  and the other one is the aqua lips 8c.

Last year I was roaming around in Sephora with my best friend and I came up with this eyeshadow crayon in the section with the offers. Apparently the product was discontinued  and they wanted to get rid of them so they had a ridiculous discount. Originally these crayons costed about 20 € and I got it for 6€. Bargain!! The color is a very beautiful coppery bronzy gold (great description) that suits everyone and especially light eyes (which I totally don’t have) because it makes a contrast and makes them pop.  It doesn’t have the creamiest formula for a cream eyeshadow and you have to blend it very fast because it sets almost immediately and, well, that is exactly the reason why I love it. As a girl with insanely oily eyelids that eat eyeshadows this is a miracle. I can wear it all day and I don’t have to worry about it creasing. That’s why I like to use it as an eyeshadow base, as well. I find that the best way to apply this by warming it up on my finger and then rub it on my eyelids. The biggest disadvantage is that now they are going to be very hard to find, but they are replaced with some automatic pencils.

This winter one of my cousins got gifted a perfume from Sephora that she didn’t like and because she didn’t need any beauty products,  she gave it to me to exchange it with whatever I liked. One of the products that I bought was this lip liner cause I was in a desperate need of some kind of red lipstick. I decided to go for a lip liner because I thought that lip liners  last better than lipsticks. The color is cool toned red that really brightens up my face. It is very matte, so it can accentuate the dry patches on the lips, but it lasts for ages through eating and drinking. Surprisingly is not as drying as I thought it would be, although it is still pretty dry. But for me it is definitely a keeper.

All in all, I am very happy with both of the products that I have used from the brand, so I’m quite excited to use other ones from the line. I am eyeing the eyeliners, but do you have any other recommendations?

My favourite hairstyle

Hello everyone,

11906985_873722686030806_1700373243_o

Today I thought I would be fun to talk about hair. I really love beauty, but if there is one department that I really suck at, this is definitely the hair. There is nothing that I really like about mine other than the color. I have very fine hair that gets too greasy too fast and has absolutely no texture and volume at all. Because of this I never spend time on it since I find it very useless, but the one hairstyle I like to do and one of the only ones that I can do is curling it. The main reason why I like this hairstyle is that is quite fast, yet it looks very put together.

I like to make my curls the day that I have washed my hair cause then I can rock them the second day as well. At the moment I’m using the dove hair therapy nutritive solutions volume boost shampoo and conditioner. I am not very picky about shampoo, but what I have to say about this one is that it is nice and lightweight but doesn’t really give me the most volume.

After I have washed my hair, I like to dry it as much as I can with a towel. Then I apply some hair mouse, in order to get some texture and hold (the one that I used this time was this one from NIVEA, which I really wouldn’t recomment as it makes my hair crispy) and blow dry it.

After it is completely dry, I start culring it. I use a very thin curling wand because to be honest that is the only one I  have. All I do is I start from one side of my head, grabbing small pieces of hair and wrapping it around the wand. I don’t really think about the size of the pieces or the direction of the curls, because I find that I gives a more beachy effect when the curls are a little bit random. I do like though too curl the front pieces away from my face because I feel that it frames my face better this way. I continue this process until I finish with the whole head and then I run my finger through my hair to loosen up the curls. Lastly, I apply some hairspray (this is a random one from GARNIER) .

This process takes me seriously less than 10 minutes and I really like the final result.

What do think about it? Do you have any recommendation about easy and fast hairstyles?

Too faced natural eyes eyeshadow palette

Hello everyone,

Last December I asked for my birthday the “Too faced natural eyes neutral eye shadow palette” (that was a mouthful!) and my sister was kind enough to buy it for me. Since then I haven’t put it down. I am using it for almost seven months now and the one thing I have to say about it is that it is amazing.

DSCN2876

The main reason why I love it is that it has all the colors I would need to make almost every different eye shadow look. From a two second every day look to super dramatic smoky eyes, I can do them all using just this one. It has the perfect balance between shimmers and matte colors which makes it very versatile.

from left to right: heaven (matte), cashmere bunny (matte), sexpresso (matte), silk teddy (shimmery), push-up (shimmery), erotica (glittery), nudie (matte), honey pot (shimmery), chocolatte martini (glittery)

Although I absolutely love it, there are a few things that I have to notice. First, I found that two of the shimmering shadows, “silk teddy” and “Honey pot” are a little bit stiff so it is a lot easier to apply them with the fingertips rather than a brush.

About the glittery shades, “Erotica” and “Chocolate Martini”, I find to be patchy and have a lot of fall down. This is the reason why I don’t like to wear those two full on. At the beginning, I didn’t think I would be able to use them, but I found that a tiny amount of them in the crease looks beautiful, since the glitter doesn’t transfer in the eyelids. I also like to use them as eyeliner.

Besides the beautiful shadows, the packaging itself is gorgeous.  The palette is tiny so it is very travel friendly and let’s be honest the pink flowers are adorable. The only thing I didn’t like about it was when “Honey pot” fall out of the palette and it almost broke.

My sister bought this palette from Sephora discounted, since it was Christmas time, so I don’t really know the price in Greece (and couldn’t find it any where on the internet, cause every site has a different price). But there are a lot of online stores where you can buy it from in case you don’t have a sephora in your country.

All in all, it is a beautiful palette that if you are a neutrals girl like me you are going to love.  Have any of you tried this palette? What do you think about it?

My Ideal sandals

DSCN2889

DSCN2895

Hello everyone,

For the past couple of summers I’ve been trying to find the perfect pair of summer sandals, but I’ve been failing miserably. I was just buying some cheap ones because there was nothing that I really loved. The shops were full of sandals with huge white soles which to be honest, I thoroughly dislike (I don’t really like the word hate, it’s too harsh) and the ones that I liked were insanely overpriced (cause I’m not paying 70 € for a pair of sandals).

But one day I came up with a pair that at the beginning I was a little bit hesitant about, but the more I look at them the more I fall in love with them. They are brown, but they have a little bit of leather print and a small green detail. So although they are very neutral and they go with pretty much everything, they still are a quite interesting.  There is a white sole on the bottom, but is very subtle so I don’t mind it. Plus, it gives me a little bit of height since I am very short. The thing that I like the most about them, though, is that they are super comfortable so I can walk on them all day and don’t have to worry about pain or blisters!

The shoes are from the Greek brand Tsakiris Mallas and specifically from their exe line. I bought them from a shop in Corfu, but you can get them from a lot of other stores all across Greece and they also have an online store, as well. Although the company is in Greece I contacted them and they told me that they ship worldwide, so you can buy them, regardless where you live.

This pair was initially 47€ but I got them discounted for 39€.

What do you think of them? What style of sandals do you like the most in the summertime?
